For food and wine lovers, our style of cuisine is Classical British/French Gourmand cooking,no molecular,squiggles,foams or smears on the plates here.We cook in the old style,using the plancha & ovens,not sousvide & cook in the bag Each dish is cooked personally for you by Mike & his team. Every ingredient is treated with the utmost respect, using exact technique where balance,texture and depth of flavour are all important.Everything is made in the kitchen including daily baked bread

The menu is firmly based on the best local produce which we are lucky to have in abundance throughout the seasons.

There is a cosy bar with an open log fire place, and the 100 bin wine list reflects some of the worlds best wine makers as well as some of the less well known ones.

Past visitors have included Prince Andrew, Murray Walker, John Cleese, Madonna, the late Sir Edward Heath, Michael Portillo, Status Quo and many other well known personalities.
